Insomnia, God is a DJ,...: the singer Maxi Jazz, from the band Faithless, has passed away!


Maxi Jazz, the lead singer of British electronic music group Faithless, has died at the age of 65, the band said on its social networks Saturday.
 
The group Faithless had marked the history of music by setting dancefloors on fire in the years 1990-2000 with its titles "Insomnia", "God is a DJ" and "We Come 1 ».
 
In a statement on Facebook on Saturday, the group said it was "devastated" by the death of Maxi Jazz: "He was a wonderful man who had time for everyone and a wisdom that was both profound and accessible. It was an honor and a real pleasure to work with him. »
 
In addition to Maxi Jazz, Faithless consists of producer Rollo Armstrong and DJ Sister Bliss. The latter said on Twitter that Maxi Jazz died "peacefully" in his sleep at his home in London on Friday night.
 
Faithless has performed multiple times at the Rock Werchter festival. He had also ignited the boards of Forest National in Brussels in 2001, so much so that fans, jumping, had made believe an earthquake to the inhabitants of the neighborhood.
