Death of American comedian Bob Saget: a head injury is the cause of his death

The actor, known for his role in the hit 1980s-1990s sitcom Party at Home, had been found unresponsive in a room in Orlando while on tour in the country, and the circumstances of his death were previously unknown. Authorities have determined that Bob died of head trauma, his family said.

He reportedly accidentally hit the back of his head on something, didn't question it and went to bed, she said, adding that the death was not related to drug or alcohol use.

Bob Saget, who was 65 years old, became famous for his role as Danny Tanner, a widowed father of three daughters, including the twins played by sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, in The Party at Home. After his death, the sisters paid tribute to the most loving, compassionate and generous man.

The comedian, often referred to as America's Dad, was also the voice-over narrator on the series How I Met Your Mother and appeared numerous times, playing himself, on Entourage from 2005 to 2010.
