Devastated, Snoop Dogg announces the death of his mother
Snoop Dogg's mother, Beverly Tate, has passed away - the rap legend revealed in a series of social media posts on Sunday.
Mom, thank you for having me, Snoop wrote in an Instagram post accompanying a photo of him and his mother.
In another post, the 50-year-old hip-hop icon shared a photo of his mother in a radiant red dress while holding a bouquet of flowers.
Thank you God for giving me an angel for a mother, Snoop captioned the post.
It was not immediately clear how his mother died. She had apparently been in the hospital since May. In June, Snoop posted a photo of him and his brothers visiting their mother in the hospital. Happy Sunday, my brothers and I went to see mom today and she opened her eyes to tell us she was still fighting, he wrote at the time.
