Drummer Graeme Edge of the British rock band Moody Blues has died


Graeme Edge, drummer and co-founder of the British rock band Moody Blues, has died at the age of 80.
 
Graeme Edge, drummer and co-founder of the British rock band Moody Blues, died at the age of 80, announced the British public channel BBC on Thursday night.
 
Born in Rochester in 1941, Graeme Edge moved to Birmingham with his family soon after. It is there that he will form Moody Blues with Ray Thomas and Mike Pinder in 1964.
 
The band's main hit is the song Nights in White Satin, from the album Days of Future Passed recorded with a symphony orchestra.
 
Graeme Edge was present on every album of the band and co-wrote several important songs.
 
The drummer also released two albums outside the Moody Blues under the name Graeme Edge Band.
 
The cause of death has not been announced.
