Fran Drescher (One hell of a nanny) thinks her cancer is related to the rape she suffered

The actress Fran Drescher who played from 1993 to 1999 the famous nanny in the successful series A Nanny from Hell has returned to the great trials of her life that she had to face.

The actress, who was raped at gunpoint during a 1985 home invasion, told Page Six that she believes her immune system was weakened because she was not monitored after the rape and that the assault was one of the reasons she ended up with cancer in 2000.

The actress believes that the stress and trauma of the rape were factors that led to her cancer diagnosis 15 years later.

I experienced trauma as a rape victim and for years I didn't really understand how it affected me emotionally, I just went on with my life, she detailed at the launch of the promotion of her new book 'N is for The Nanny.

I think it's no coincidence that I ended up with gynecological cancer, says the star. The actress, who was diagnosed with uterine cancer in 2000 and underwent an immediate radical hysterectomy after two years of misdiagnosis, also explains that toxic exposure is also part of her cancer.

Americans are in a cycle of toxic exposure, chronic disease and addiction, the star believes. He adds, We need to 'break the chains' and 'really start looking at what is weakening our immune system, why our bodies are reacting and why there is so much chronic disease.
