Elton John and Ed Sheeran's surprise Christmas duet almost turned into a drama. This is what the 30-year-old singer said in a recent interview with Apple Music. During the shooting of the video, one scene in particular could have gone wrong.

  

I almost killed Elton John with a bell, says the interpreter of Shivers. And to explain: I was dressed as a sexy Santa Claus and I kicked a gift. Except that on this gift there was a metal bell attached to the top.

 

I showed him the video, which we slowed down, and the bell goes right over his head. It could have cracked his skull, he continued. Sir Elton obviously does not blame him because he shared the video clip (below) in question on Twitter: You'll have better luck next time Ed Sheeran, he joked.
