The nutritional benefits of plant milk: which one to choose?

Plant milks are real alternatives to cow's milk or goat's milk. There is a wide variety of them with different tastes and providing different benefits. Here are the different reasons to choose a plant milk.

A vegetable milk does not contain lactose and also avoids cholesterol or bad fats. These milks are rich in vitamins and minerals, and contain many fatty acids. They are therefore a very good alternative to traditional milks such as cow's milk, especially for people who are lactose intolerant or who have difficulty digesting milk.

Which plant milk should I choose?

1) Soy milk

The latter brings many advantages: it is rich in protein, it does not contain lactose, and it is also rich in fiber. In addition, it also promotes hormonal balance and the effects of menopause. However, it is not recommended for pregnant women. Concerning its taste, it has a rather neutral flavor that will allow it to replace milk in sweet and savory preparations.

2) Almond milk: a vegetable milk rich in vitamins!

It is also composed of good fats and contains vitamin E. It helps to strengthen bones and protects against heart risks. It is also available in different varieties such as chocolate almond milk to add a special taste. And above all, almond milk makes it easier to digest, as many people have difficulty digesting lactose.

3) Oat milk

Compared to other vegetable drinks like almond or soy milk, oat milk contains gluten. It is also derived in different flavors like chocolate. Besides that, it is a very rich milk that contains many fibers and helps digestion.

4) Coconut milk

Coconut milk is an important source of vitamins, as it is rich in iron, zinc and potassium. It is frequently used in Thai and Indonesian cuisine.

5) Rice milk

It is very used for children, because it is rich in vitamins and sweet. It is especially rich in calcium and magnesium and is therefore essential for the bones.
