Vacations : three tips to prolong your tan on your return
Have you just returned from vacation with a tan that will make everyone around you swoon? Follow these tips to keep your beautiful tan as long as possible.
It's never fun to come back from vacation, especially when the sun isn't out If you've been getting beautiful colors under the sun and you're afraid they'll disappear at lightning speed, we've got some tips on how to maintain your tan and look good all summer long.
1. Moisturize your skin as much as possible
Moisturize your skin morning and night to keep your tan longer. Your skin can never be too moisturized, especially after returning from a vacation where it was exposed to the sun, sea water, chlorine, etc. Choose a cream rich in water and fat. For example, use the after-sun care you applied during your trip, it will only prolong your beautiful sun-kissed complexion.
2. Scrub your body
Contrary to popular belief, exfoliation does not remove your tan, it intensifies it. By exfoliating your skin, you make it more luminous and you remove the small dead skins and the impurities. Don't use an overly abrasive method to avoid damaging your skin. Repeat the process once a week after your return.
3. Choose foods rich in beta-carotene
Before, during or after exposure to the sun, diet plays an important role in your tan. To make it last as long as possible, eat foods rich in beta-carotene (an antioxidant that prevents cell aging) such as carrots, tomatoes, apricots, melons and mangoes.
